Shanti Beans

“Not a well-behaved coffee bar with a clean conscience. The site had to be as loud as the bar itself.”

Shanti Beans is a coffee bar on Ridderstraat in Hasselt. All there was, was a logo. From that I built the whole online identity: a palette of bright red, cream and coffee brown, Teko and Instrument Sans as typefaces, and playful illustrations to dress it up, with the flame from the logo as a recurring motif. I designed and built the website myself, with a menu featuring a weekly highlight, opening hours that show live whether the bar is open right now, a page and request form for private events, and a cheeky, playful tone in every line.
